Here, I have attempted to collect some information about myself not unlike what would be found in a Facebook (or similar) profile. More detailed information can be found on the Academics, Work, and Extracurricular Activities pages. Additonally, for those interested, I have some information About this Website.
Profile

I was born on November 22, 1988, in Nashua, NH. Since then I have lived in Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and Georgia again. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Discrete Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science, along with a certificate in Linguistics. I expect to complete my studies in December of 2011, after which I hope to go to graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics.
My interests include (in no particular order)
- Mathematics: foundations and history of mathematics; abstract algebra; number theory; combinagtorial game theory; logic
- Computer Science: design of programming languages; theory of computation
- Design: print design and typography, and applications thereof to web design
- Linguistics: constructed languages; development/evolution of natural languages
- Theater: watching; acting; marketing
- Cooking: pastries, especially Rugelach, Scones; comfort foods, especially Paprikash, Macaroni and Cheese
My favorite books include, but are certainly not limited to, Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas Hofstadter; Sandman by Niel Gaiman; Logicomix by Apostolos Doxiadis and Christos Papadimitriou; On Numbers and Games by John Conway; The Code Book by Simon Singh; and Prime Obsession by John Derbyshire
Among my favorite movies are V for Vendetta, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Majestic, Garden State, and Across the Universe.
On the rare occasions where I have an opportunity to watch TV, I mostly channel surf until I find something interesting. That said, I will always stop to watch Good Eats or Mythbusters.
