I have been a TA for MATH 1712 Survey of Calculus (Fall 2008), MATH 1501 Calculus I (Fall 2009), and MATH 1502 Calculus II (Spring 2010). For each of these positions, I
- conducted two one-hour recitation sessions per week,
- held at least one office hour per week (normally closer to three),
- proctored quizzes and exams, and
- graded homework, quizzes, and exams.
For MATH 1501 in Fall 2009, I was nominated for the department's Oustanding TA Award.
Summers 2008 and 2009 — Intern
Raybeam Solutions, Inc., Bedford, MA
In 2008, I worked through Raybeam with Google doing marketing reporting, and with eBay on affiliate network (ePN) quality management. In 2009, I worked with Expedia on the development of an internal SEM platform.
Fall 2006, Spring 2007 — Intern
Graphic Communications Lab, Troup County Comprehensive High School, LaGrange, GA
For two semesters in high school I worked as an intern in my school's print shop, working both on designs for clients (administration and student organizations at schools in the system) and prepress, printing, and finishing for these jobs. Tasks included printing (wide format printer and offset press), finishing (cutting, collating, folding, prefect binding, etc.), and packing.
